Why is Minecraft so popular? Some say it’s the game itself, others the youtubers and the flexibility it has… in this article we will be looking at the things Minecraft did well with.

            Minecraft is shareable, I bought it because of a friend who told me about it, and I in turn brought my brothers into the game, as well as another group of guys (Young guys, ages from 8-14) and it was easy, the game is shareable and with any age (Like some young family members that love to come to my house to play Minecraft).

            Exploration. This feature was a huge factor in starting this off, and again is shareable, when I first joined Minecraft, I was introduced by a Co-Worker/Friend, and he told me, You could run as far as you want, and still never come to the end of the world… I, having played quite a few games, was gonna test this out… and this is a huge reason why I purchased this game… turns out he was right… it is nearly endless… but is this the first game to have unique maps every time you start a new game? No, but the first never ending world, Other games that I play have randomly generated maps, and they are good, but they always have limited space, and Minecraft has done good, updating and keeping things fresh with villages and many more generated structures and biomes…

            YouTube. This is the biggest reason that Minecraft is where it is, although it needed the sharability for it to hit YouTube, many of the players out there were either introduced by a Youtuber, or a friend who also so it on YouTube (although I am unsure if my friend found out from a Youtuber or a friend.) Minecraft is one of the largest games out there, and I don’t see it going away!

            Flexibility. This kept people interested, since default survival can get old, coding platforms and mods for the game have kept it from getting stale, and keeping people like me in it… although I did take a break from minecraft for a few months, I got back into it, because of the high amount of things that were evolving in Minecraft servers.
